Malaysia is a predominantly Muslim countries and is amongst the biggest contributor towards the development of global halal hub. However, there is still a dearth of understanding among consumers and manufacturers of cosmetic products in terms of the meaning and the requirements needed for a cosmetic product to be deemed as Halal. There are also a serious lack of trust and awareness of halal products in cosmetic industry especially among consumers.
