About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Advances in Agricultural and Food Research Journal (AAFRJ) is an open access international journal that publishes original research and review papers on any subject related to science and engineering in agricultural and food, particularly those of relevance to industry. This can include applied agricultural, biological, environmental, natural resources, food, and livestock farming to solve problems in complex living systems. In addition to science and engineering topics, we also welcome articles related to agriculture and food service extension, management and business either at the local or international level.
AAFRJ also publishes special issues of selected peer-reviewed papers from conferences, proceedings, seminars, and meetings related to the aim and scope of the journal.

The publication frequency of Advances in Agricultural and Food Research Journal is biannually (June & December).

Advances in Agricultural and Food Research Journal is a Gold Open access journal. Author(s) shall retain the copyright of their work, but grant to the Publisher a license to publish.
Advances in Agricultural and Food Research Journal works under the license of Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) that allows copying, distribution, and transmission of the published work with the acknowledgement of the original creator. This broad license intends to facilitate free access to, as well as the unrestricted reuse of, original works of all types.
Peer-Review Process
Advances in Agricultural and Food Research Journal are committed to maintaining high standards through a rigorous double-blinded peer review.
Ensuring a Blind Review
To ensure the integrity of the blind peer-review for submission to this journal, every effort should be made to prevent the identities of the authors and reviewers from being known to each other. This involves the authors, editors, and reviewers (who upload documents as part of their review) checking to see if the following steps have been taken concerning the text and the file properties:
- The authors of the document have removed personal information from the file properties by taking the following steps:
- Microsoft Word for Windows:
- Go to File
- Select Info
- Click on Check for Issues
- Click on Inspect Document
- In the Document Inspector dialogue box, select the checkboxes to choose the type of hidden content that you want inspected.
- Click Remove All
- Click Close
- Save the document
- Microsoft Word for Windows:
- The Section Editor(s) will remove all the authors' information including names and affiliations in the manuscript before the submission is assigned to the reviewer
Journal Publication Ethics
Advances in Agricultural and Food Research Journal's manuscript management adheres to the “Code of Conduct for Journal Editors and Code of Conduct for Publishers” and Best Practice as stipulated by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to prevent misconduct of research papers. The editorial committee consider ethical publishing practices as a fundamental part of ethical responsibilities among authors. The editors are committed to maintaining high standards through a rigorous double-blinded peer review along with strict ethical policies. In order to avoid plagiarism, the author shall provide all the information about the novelty and importance of the findings including the similarity index report by iThenticate/Turnitin of 30% or less. In addition, the editor of the journal is doing our best to ensure fair, unbiased, and transparent peer review and editorial decisions. When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author's obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper. If the editor or the publisher learns from a third party that a published work contains a significant error, it is the obligation of the author to promptly retract or correct the paper or provide evidence to the editor of the correctness of the original paper. Any detected cases of misconduct, whether on the part of authors, reviewers or editors, will be vigorously pursued. And finally, each article is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License. Author(s) shall retain the copyright of their work and grant the Journal/Publisher right for the first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under: i. Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0). This license allows for the copying, distribution and transmission of the work, provided the correct attribution of the original creator is stated. Adaptation and remixing are also permitted; ii. This broad license intends to facilitate free access to, as well as the unrestricted reuse of, original works of all types for non-commercial purposes; iii. The author(s) permits HH Publisher to publish this article that has not been submitted elsewhere.
Charges
Article Processing Charge
If the manuscript is accepted for publication, the author is required to pay for an Article Publication Fee (APC) to cover publication costs.
APC is USD 120 or RM 500 (Starting from 1st January 2024).
